As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a results driven Director of Business Development to lead our sales efforts, develop sales talent, and drive revenue growth. 

The Director of Business Development will oversee a team of Group Sales Managers and play a critical role in executing our growth strategy. This individual will be responsible for setting sales goals, coaching leadership teams, and ensuring the achievement of revenue targets in a fast-paced, competitive market. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in logistics sales, team leadership, and strategic business development. 

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead & Manage: Oversee and mentor a team of sales managers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering professional development. 
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets. 
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to create and execute short- and long-term sales plans that align with business objectives. 
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor team performance, analyze sales data, and provide actionable insights to enhance effectiveness. 
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with high-value clients and partners to drive business opportunities. 
  • Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the logistics and supply chain sector. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, marketing, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of client solutions. 

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • Experience: 7+ years in logistics sales, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role (preferably managing sales teams in brokerage). 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or related field; MBA is a plus. 
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing sales teams. 
  • Results-Driven: Demonstrated success in achieving and surpassing revenue goals. 
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics brokerage operations, market dynamics, and customer needs. 
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficient in CRM tools, sales analytics platforms, and modern sales enablement technologies.
