Overview

The Manager in Training program is a 4-month rotational program to learn the sales tactics,
operations and corporate responsibilities of an Associate Group Sales Manager (GSM) at PLS Logistics.

Responsibilities

The Manager in Training is a fantastic opportunity to fast-track your career in management while receiving on-the-job training in every aspect of a rapidly growing organization:

 

Months 1-2: Sales training
Month 3: Operationstraining
Month 4: Corporate rotations and program graduation

 

his role will be based in perspective training location and will work Monday – Friday, 7:45am-5:15pm in office.

• Immerse yourself in the world of freight brokerage sales.
• Learn about PLS Logistics Services and the logistics industry.
• Hear from our top home-grown leaders on how to be successful.
• Understand how to negotiate pricing to close the deal.
• Work with carriers and cover shipments.
• Take charge of client service issues to the point of resolution.
• Rotate between marketing, finance, human resources, and national accounts to understand
how the departments are run.
As a Manager in Training, you will be expected to have prior experience with:
• Leadership – in the classroom, on the playing field, socially or anywhere else!
• On-campusinvolvement (ex. Greek life, fundraisers, community service

• Networking and public speaking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Adaptability and a “roll up your sleeves” mentality.
• Ability to relocate to any one of the PLS branches across the country upon completion of the
program.
